Steven Johnson is one of my intellectual heroes. He shook me up with his book “Everything Bad is Good For You” and he’s doing it again with, “Where Good Ideas Come From: The Natural History of Innovation.” Impatient perfectionists who tend towards doomsday scenarios often find it difficult to recognize the gestation/fermentation/etc. requirements for breakthrough ideas. Steven helps us see the process differently.
In the video below, he’s offering an illuminating snapshot of where good ideas actually come from. It’s short (4 minutes) and the format, a live-illustrated, text, voice/video is a great way to absorb and process info.
